Gift Aid
Because subscription rates have not changed this year, and
because our plans for improvements to the club exceed our capacity to pay for
them, members may wish to make a small donation to the club in addition to the
subscription. As a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC), we can claim money from
HM Customs & Revenue (HMRC) for all
donations we receive under the Gift Aid scheme
(£0.28 per £1 received).
We are not permitted to claim on subscriptions, nor to reduce subscriptions and
claim the difference under Gift Aid. A donation will
therefore increase our income considerably.
Please note that you do not pay any extra tax as a result
of giving through Gift Aid: you simply write the cheque for however much you
want to donate and HMRC sends us a cheque for 28% of what you write on the
cheque (or give in cash).
However, you must already pay enough in Income or
Capital Gains tax to cover the amount HMRC sends us – so if you donate £10 under
Gift Aid, you must already be paying at least £2.80 in Income or CG tax.
There is also a note on the Gift Aid form for higher rate tax payers.
You are under no obligation to make a donation; in order to
continue as a member of PCC, you need only pay the appropriate subscription fee.
If you wish to donate, you may do so at any time and can also do so directly
into our bank account as described below, but you must complete a
Gift Aid Form
. Paper forms should be returned to the treasurer at the address shown below.
The name of the CASC is Petersfield Cricket Club.

Alternatively, if you have access to your bank account on-line, you can make
your donation directly into the club’s bank account. If you wish to use this
method of payment our bank details can be sent to you by the treasurer via
e-mail at
