Grounds Work
No one can play cricket unless there is a strip and outfield prepared. The
preparation takes a large amount of effort over about 10 months of the year. If
it can be carried out by volunteers then it will save the club a large amount of
money.
The kind of tasks that need to be done are:
- Machine maintenance
- Outfield cutting
- Square cutting and rolling
- Strip preparation
- Loaming and seeding at the end of the season
- Scarifying and aerating
